"Apologetics" is the defense of any thing. It comes from the Greek root apologia, which means "answer" or "defense." Specifically in the context of this page, "apologetics" refers to the defense of the Scriptural Christian faith against "enemies foreign and domestic." "Foreign" including the metaphysical cults (the "Word-Faith Movement" spawned by E. W. Kenyon and plagiarized and popularized by Kenneth Hagin; transcendentalism; the New [Old] Age [Lie] Movement; etc.), nonchristian religions (Islam, Hinduism, etc.), and antichristian philosophies (secular humanism, evolution, etc.). "Domestic" including theological liberalism, postliberalism, and neo-orthodoxy.
